Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter ($7.49) - Revlon Color burst lip butter is a new product that was released in 2011. The product is a cross between a tinted lip balm and a lip stick. They executed this idea perfectly, I am definitely in love.

 PROS
  • The lip butters go on so creamy and are extremely moisturizing.
  • Even though they are not marketed as a *lip stick*, they are very pigmented and leave a beautiful finish on your lips.
  • They have absolutely no scent and no weird flavor. This is nice for those who get sick of the scent of their lip products.
  • There are 20 shades to choose from including; Pink Truffle, Sugar Frosting, Berrie Smoothie, Brown Sugar, Candy Apple, Cherry Tart, Cotton Candy, Creme Brulee, Cupcake, Fig Jam, Creamsicle, Gumdrop, Lollipop, Peach Parfait, Raspberry Pie, Red Velvet, Strawberry Shortcake, Sugar Plum, Sweet Tart, and Tutti Frutti.
  • That being said, they have adorable names!
CONS
  •  Being only 0.09 oz (2.55 g) of product, these do not last very long. I have used mine a few times and I have noticed that there has been a lot of product used up already! I have had mine for about a week.
  • I sort of wish they had a slight flavor to go with their names.
  • They melt extremely easily. I had mine in my pocket and it definitely started to melt.
  • I found that the actual lip product rotates and becomes misaligned with the casing. This caused it to become smushed against the cap and I lost a bit of product.
Overall, Revlon colorburst lip butters have got to be one of my favorite drugstore purchases! I am definitely going to try get the entire collection within the next couple months. If you are looking for a reliable lip product, I would definitely check these out!

Collective Haul

Hey hey! So today I have a collective haul to post. I grabbed a few things in the past two weeks and wanted to share my purchases with you guys.

1. MAC Lipstick in Fast Play and Impassioned: I posted these in my MAC haul down below but wanted to add it to my collective haul since I purchased this past week.

2. ELF Blush in Fuchsia Frenzy: I LOVE this blush. I went to Sephora and fell in love with the blush "Angelika" from NARS but didn't feel like spending $27 on one item, so I googled dupes and this one is almost the an exact replica of Angelika. Super excited!!

3. Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters in Cotton Candy and Tutti Fruitti: Most adorable casing ever. That's what initially drew me in but I have to say that these lip butters are amazing! The texture is great and the coloring is perfect for a subtle look. I will definitely be doing a review on these soon.

4. Nicole By OPI Nail Polish in One Less Lonely Glitter: I have been eyeing this polish for a while and finally picked it up. Definitely worth the money.

5. OPI Nail Polish in Warm & Fozzie: Of course when OPI came out with their new collection, I had to grab a color. This one stood out to me the most :)

6. MAC Eyeshadow in White Jeanius: Again, posted already. Needed a white eyeshadow and this one does the job.

7. MAC Skinfinish in Soft & Gentle: So after I asked you guys what I should pick up from the MAC store, I grabbed this product! I have been using it everyday, it's simply gorgeous.

8. MAC Skinfinish in Porcelain Pink: Picked this one up at the CCO. I kind of wish I held off since I do like Soft & Gentle more, but this is always good to have as a backup!

9. NYX Blush in Terra Cotta: I heard great things about this blush so I had to pick up it since it is so inexpensive. Really happy with the purchase!

10.  NYX Megashine Lip Gloss in Cosmo: Ulta was having a buy one get one 50% off sale for NYX products so when I picked up the blush I had to find a second item. This lip gloss went with the blush so I purchased it on a whim. I am in love!!! I am so happy that I discovered these lipglosses. Not only are the colors great but the casing is so damn adorable!

So those are the last items that I will be posting for a while. I am going to hold off from buying beauty products until after Christmas (I am going to try really hard). I did one last haul from Cherry Culture because they are currently having their 20% off sale but after that shipment arrives it will be a few weeks before I get anything new. Good luck to me ;) I need to save money for Christmas presents!
Hope you all have a lovely holiday weekend and I will catch you guys soon!

MAC must haves?!

Hey people!!  I am going to the MAC store (not just a counter) tomorrow evening and I am SUPER excited!
Before I go I want to compile a list of MAC must haves. I am a fan of blushes and skin finishes but am open to lip colors and eye shadows. Just tell me what are the staples to your beauty kits.

Cosmetics Company Outlet Store Haul

Woohoo!! I finally went to the CCO that is about 30 miles from my house. I picked up a few MAC products and I am really excited because everything discounted 30%! Unfortunately there wasn't too big of a selection, I mainly went there looking for blushes but I ended up leaving with none :(. I ended up leaving with a Mineralize Skinfinish, Eyeshadow, and two lipsticks.

My Vanity

I don't know what I would do if I didn't have my own *space* to do my make-up. Though my area isn't exactly what I wish for, it's good enough for now! I live in a small basement apartment at my boyfriends' and we don't have a lot of room. I took what I could and I made the most of it! I cannot wait until we move into a bigger place so I can hopefully steal the spare bedroom and make it into my own makeup room LOL but for now, this is my place and I wanted to show you guys! There are still a few things I need to do to it, but I will just get to the pictures ;)
So, this is my vanity. It was actually an old desk that was in the basement and I painted it and fixed it up a bit. It started off as this really ugly brown and just took a white spray can and spray painted the whole thing! I love the way it came out! I want to replace the plastic drawer and storage bin with acrylic drawers. Anyone know of a good place to buy them?

I have my nail polishes placed on the top along with my favorite perfumes and lotion. That cute frame is one I got from TJ Maxx for only $7.99, obsessed with it! On the main desk I have everything to do with my make-up. To the right I have a crappy little plastic drawer that has some of my tools (eyelash curlers, brushes, eyelash glue, etc), eye makeup (eyeliners, jumbo pencils, mascaras, concealers) and hair supplies (bobby pins, hair elastics, combs, etc). Then in the glass jar I have my main brushes I use there so I have easy access to them. On top of the drawer I have my lip glosses, eyeshadow palettes, and cream eye shadows. Then finally I have a decorative storage bin from TJ Maxx that has all of my lipsticks, face makeup, and primers. To the left side of the main desk I have my jar that I keep my cameras and cords in, my 15th Anniversary Palette from UD, lamp, costume jewelry hanging, and my iHome. There is a cork board I placed behind it all.

Fantasy By Britney Spears, Love ETC from the Body Shop, Viva La Juicy by Juicy Couture, Pink Sugar, and Juicy Couture by Juicy Couture.

I adore my OPI polishes. I don't have too many (Around 14 bottles or so) but I only choose the colors I truly love. I have a lot of other brands that are nice, but OPI is definitely my favorite! I'm going to continue expanding my OPI collection but I would also like to look into Orly and Zoya. I have all of the Essie I want at this point, so I am going to hold off on those until some really awesome colors come out that I can't help but buy.

Just wanted to add a closeup of my frame. I have pictures of my BEAUTIFUL niece laid on top of the glass. She is so cute! I need to find a way to fit them all in the frame nicely but I don't want to damage or cut them just yet. Any ideas?

So that is my vanity!! I don't have any close ups of my makeup and I have no where near as much as a lot people out there but I am still building! I hope that you enjoyed my post! Ta-ta!

What I use on a Daily Basis!

Hello Chicas (and chicos!), out of pure boredom I decided to make a post about the make-up products I use on a daily basis. Most of these products will make it onto my face on the average day. I obviously don't ONLY use these items but for the most part these are what I reach for first when doing my make-up.

Urban Decay Naked Palette

e.l.f. Contouring Blush and Bronzer Powder & e.l.f. Powder Brush

Ulta Show Stopper Mascara, e.l.f. Cream Eyeliner, & Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner in Zero

Urban Decay Urban Defense Tinted Mosturizer in Halo & Revlon Colorstay Foundation in Sand Beige

Milani Baked Bronzer in Glow, Hard Candy Baked Blush in Pin-Up, & NARS Blush in Deep Throat

NYX Crystal Liner in Crystal Onyx, e.l.f. Tone Correcting Concealer, & NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk

Sonia Kashuk Brushes (they're so cute, i can't help but use them all the time!)

There are some products that are not listed here yet like my primers and lip colors. Those will be added in very soon! What are your go to products? Let me know! I am always looking to try new products. Right now I am looking for a new foundation. Something that is natural looking but has great coverage. I like a semi-dewy look but not too greasy looking. Please recommend your favorite foundation!

Sinful Colors Professional Nail Enamel - Hottie & I Love You

Sinful Colors Professional in "Hottie"- ($1.99) A sheer blue with small flecks of glitter. This is a very pretty color that is comparable to OPI's "Last Friday Night" from the Katy Perry line. With a few coats it can be worn alone and doesn't have to be worn over another color to get full coverage. The consistency of this polish is what bothers me, it is very gooey and I had a hard time painting it on. I am sure that the OPI version is not as goopy since I do have "Teenage Dream" which is the same type of polish but in pink. Another thing I noticed is that it chips VERY easily without a top coat, like literally same day application and the polish is completely gone. I forgot my top coat this weekend when I traveled and after showering it removed all of my nail polish. So wear a top coat for sure!! It is nice that it has the same execution of the more expensive counterpart but it's formula is definitely not as nice. If you are looking for a cheap buy with little downfall, then definitely pick up "Hottie".

(One Coat, Two Coats, and Three Coats)

Sinful Colors Professional in "I Love You"- ($1.99) A shimmery plum purple. This polish goes on much better than "Hottie". It is very pigmented and doesn't go on as sheer as some other cheap nail polishes. It has a beautiful light shimmer that can be seen in the light but isn't extremely noticeable. What I found when painting my nails and the nail wheel is that it takes a very long time to dry. It remains tacky for a while so this polish will also definitely need a top coat immediately after your last coat is semi-dry. Other than that, I found that this is definitely a nice purchase for the price of the product. I would expect that a polish this inexpensive to be a bad formula but this one seems to be pretty nice.

    Urban Decay Feminine Palette

Urban Decay Feminine Palette - ($34.00) A delicate palette consisting of beautiful feminine colors. I absolutely had to try this palette when I saw it for the first time. The colors are are so very lovely. If you are a girly girl, this is a must have addition to your collection. The palette comes with 6 gorgeous colors in which all can make a look for any time of the day.  Also included is one of their 24/7 Eyeliners in Zero and a Primer Potion in Eden.
AQUARIUS - This is a beautiful pigmented soft teal color. When applied to the eye it comes out a bit lighter than what the pictures show. It is buildable and can be used to create a daytime or nighttime look. Eyeshadow is very soft and has very little to no fallout when applied correctly.

STRAY DOG - A light taupey brown. It can be used in the crease of your eye to make a light smoky eye or as an all over lid color to give yourself a darker daytime look. I find this color extremely easy to work with.

SWF - A light pastel frosty pink. ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS. This color is a must have if you use eyeshadow. It is so gorgeous and gives you that delicate girly look that every girl looks for once in a while. The shimmer is beautiful and not over the top. So pretty!

DARK HORSE - A dark brown. This color is included in the Naked Palette from Urban Decay and is one of my favorites. I like to use this to create a beautiful smoky eye along with SWF and STRAY DOG.  Very easy to apply.

ECSTASY - A shimmery purple. What a pretty color! I have yet to be able to use it much but the looks I have done with it have come out very beautiful. A little goes a long way with this color.

MIDNIGHT COWBOY - A glittery light champagne bronze. Nice color, lots of fallout. I find myself rubbing glitter off my face because it has all fallen out of my eyeshadow. I adore the color but the glitter is harsh. If you don't like looking like Kesha, it'd be a good idea to tap off the glitter or frequently remove it from your cheeks.

I know that you all have a wish list, so what is it that you all yearn for? I have a lot of things that I really want and probably don't need, but hey, a girl can dream. The following is my current "must have" list, but you know it's going to grow as soon as I check out the latest entries from Youtube's gurus and your beauty blogs. It's always an expanding list!

Too Faced On the Prowl $26.00

Neautrogena Healthy Skin Liquid Make-up in Buff - $11.99

Nicole by O.P.I. in One Less Lonely Glitter - $7.99

    O.P.I in Excuse Moi - $8.50

    Canon Powershot SX130 - $355.00

    Urban Decay Cream Eyeshadow Review

Urban Decay Cream Eyeshadow each come in a small tube. They also come with is known to be a "doe foot" applicator. There are 12 different shades and each tube comes with 6.7ml / .20 US fl oz of product. The tube indicates that the eyeshadow is long-lasting hi-tech eyecolor.
I have 9/12 of the shades that are available which I bought on the Urban Decay website. Though these were originally $17.00 a piece, they are now only $3.00 on the Urban Decay site. Along with only being $3.00, I bought them during the Friends & Family sale which gives you a 20% discount on everything, therefore I purchased them for a wonderful price of only $2.40 a piece! Crazy, right?! Now let's get to the colors.

(Click on the pictures to enlarge)
Asphault is a black cream shadow with a lot of glitter. I find the formula to not be as creamy as some of the others but the final product is really nice.

Mushroom is a grayish/taupe color with an iridescent glitter. There is no glitter fallout in the product and you will not be left with a coat of glitter if you rub the product in. It is truly a beautiful color.
Rehab is a taupe with a gold tint. Like the other colors, this product has a very shimmery finish. With a layer of Midnight Cowboy (which I have a ton of, LOL) I can imagine this would be amazing alone!
Midnight Rodeo is a very light tannish pink with a lot of shimmer and silver reflections. I absolutely LOVE this color! It is so girly and awesome as a base for an everyday look.
Sphynx is a cotton candy pink with a lot of silver undertones and flecks of glitter.  It is a beautiful girly color and would look great with a bold look using Woodstock or Junkshow!
Delinquent is a beautiful metallic purple. The formula is very pigmented and creamy and goes on like a dream. It is the most opaque finish in my opinion and is extremely bold. I normally wouldn't wear a color this dark but this would look great in a purple smokey eye.
Radium is a tropical ocean blue with metallic finish. Like most of the other cream shadows, it has a very pigmented and creamy formula.
Weeds is a goldish green color. I was automatically drawn to the color when I saw it online. There is something so unique about it that I absolutely had to get it. It is a lovely shade and would look great with golds!
Moonshine is a pale silver with lots of silver specks. It appears almost white and is great as a base for any look you are going for that you want that special POP. I used it as a base when doing a look with Tainted and Junkshow and it made it absolutely beautiful. If you want to save some primer, I highly suggest purchasing this and using it as one.

After I am able to use my cream shadows a little more, I will come back and do a more in depth perception of each shadow. Since I have yet to use them all for my everyday look I do not want to go and rate them as if I know everything about them. My first impression has been wonderful. I know that some people do not like these but for the most part they seem to be great. If my opinion changes you will see an updated post about it eventually. Thanks for reading! I really appreciate your views.
P.S. For those of you who are wondering, I am wearing Milani 3D Holographic Nail Lacquer in Digital.
