Hard Candy Blush Crush Baked Blush

Today I have a review for the Hard Candy Blush Crush Baked blushes, I have been absolutely obsessed with these! At least one if not all end up somewhere on my face, whether it be for a bit of color, contouring, or a nice highlight to my cheeks/nose, I just love the look of these.

Hard Candy Bombshell Baked Blush ($7.00) - This is a warm bronze blush. It has streaks of pink that give a tiny hint of color to the blush, but not very much at all. I would consider this blush to be almost like a bronzer. What is wonderful about this blush is that there are no sparkles (a lot of bronzers have tiny gold flecks in them) and it isn't as frosty as the other blushes I own by Hard Candy. This is a wonderful color to contour with if you are olive skinned, it might be too dark for you lighter skin toned people out there!

Hard Candy Pin Up Baked Blush ($7.00) - A cool frosty champagne color. This is beautiful! I have been obsessed with this and I haven't been able to explain to you guys how much I love this blush! I use it as a highlight and I just feel like my face has such a beautiful glow to it after I apply. A little goes a long way, this blush is super pigmented. If you are looking for a powder highlight, I definitely recommend this color.

Hard Candy Living Doll Baked Blush ($7.00) - A frosty cool toned pink. So pretty, seriously. It is a bit shimmery/frosty, so if you don't like that look to your blush than I would probably avoid it. It has a beautiful color and is one of the most pigmented pink blushes I have ever experienced. I know a lot of people love Milani Baked Blushes, I own a couple, but I definitely prefer this and the other colors over the Milani blushes.

Revlon Lip Butter Swatches

Hey loves! Today I have for you some more Revlon Lip Butter Swatches! I already did a review for these, so I am just going to insert my opinions below so you don't have to click around. I am just in love with these darn things! There are so many gorgeous colors and they are all so beautiful. Enjoy!

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter ($7.49) - Revlon Color burst lip butter is a new product that was released in 2011. The product is a cross between a tinted lip balm and a lip stick. They executed this idea perfectly, I am definitely in love.

 PROS
  • The lip butters go on so creamy and are extremely moisturizing.
  • Even though they are not marketed as a *lip stick*, they are very pigmented and leave a beautiful finish on your lips.
  • They have absolutely no scent and no weird flavor. This is nice for those who get sick of the scent of their lip products.
  • There are 20 shades to choose from including; Pink Truffle, Sugar Frosting, Berrie Smoothie, Brown Sugar, Candy Apple, Cherry Tart, Cotton Candy, Creme Brulee, Cupcake, Fig Jam, Creamsicle, Gumdrop, Lollipop, Peach Parfait, Raspberry Pie, Red Velvet, Strawberry Shortcake, Sugar Plum, Sweet Tart, and Tutti Frutti.
  • That being said, they have adorable names!
CONS
  •  Being only 0.09 oz (2.55 g) of product, these do not last very long. I have used mine a few times and I have noticed that there has been a lot of product used up already! I have had mine for about a week.
  • I sort of wish they had a slight flavor to go with their names.
  • They melt extremely easily. I had mine in my pocket and it definitely started to melt.
  • I found that the actual lip product rotates and becomes misaligned with the casing. This caused it to become smushed against the cap and I lost a bit of product.
Overall, Revlon colorburst lip butters have got to be one of my favorite drugstore purchases! I am definitely going to try get the entire collection within the next couple months. If you are looking for a reliable lip product, I would definitely check these out!

March Glam Bag

Hello lovelies! Guess what this girl got in the mail today? That's right, I got my March Glam Bag! I was not expecting it for a few days but I am very happy that I got it!
After opening the bag, I decided that I may not want to continue with MyGlam and try Birchbox instead. It was pretty disappointing. I was able to use the giftcard in this months bag though (wasn't able to use the one in last months bag.)

If you don't know what MyGlam is, it is a monthly beauty subscription created by Michelle Phan. Each month you receive a bag with 4-5 beauty products in it. The products can be anything from an eyeshadow to a hair treatment!

Here is this months bag!

This months bag was all about repairing and restoring your skin and hair.

February Favorites

February FavoritesHello beauties! Today I have my February favorites. These are all the products that I couldn't live without and used multiple times in the month of February. Urban Decay, OPI, Hard Candy, and yes, even the PLL books have made my top. You may be wondering why I have Pretty Little Liars listed in this post but there is a good reason; I listen to the audio books of this series while I do my make-up! I really enjoy doing it!

Anyways, what were some of your top items this month?

Face of the Day!

Today is the first time I will be doing a face of the day post. I am excited to be able to add another type of post to my blog! I am going to give you a step by step process as to how I achieved my look. Enjoy!

Face/Cheeks:
  • Neutrogena Daily Moisturizer - I always start my day with a moisturizer! It's really important to moisturize your skin.
  • X-Out Shine Control - I received this item in my February Glam Bag and I absolutely love it! I have oily skin so anything that can help control the appearance of oil on my face is a plus.
  • ULTA Matte Skin Primer - Again, I use this to control oil. I like to switch between this and the color correcting primer.
  • Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation in Medium - This is one of my current favorite foundations. it is natural looking and covers my blemishes nicely!
  • Sheer Cover Concealer in Light/Medium - I got this in my January Glam bag, It's a nice concealer but not my favorite.
  • NARS Blush in Deep Throat - This is my favorite blush ever! The color is perfect for my skin. I dust it on my cheeks and the tip of my nose.
  • Hard Candy Blush in Pin Up - I use this as a high light on my cheeks and the bridge/tip of my nose. It's a darker toned highlight but it's nice when I don't want my face to appear super shiny.
Eyes:
  • Urban Decay Primer Potion in Eden -  This is my favorite shade this comes in. It's a yellow nude color and has a nice finish.
  • Urban Decay Naked Palette - I used Virgin in as a highlight and near the tear duct, Sidecar all over the lid,  Hustle as the crease color, and Smog on the lower lash line.
  • e.l.f. Essential Liquid Eyeliner in Black -  Lined the upper lash line, very simple.
  • Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner in Zero - I tight-lined and lined part of my water line with this eyeliner.
  • Sephora Collection Advanced Lash Booster in Black - Got this in the Sephora Favorites Lashstash, It's a very nice mascara to be completely honest! It goes on nicely.
Lips:
  • e.l.f.  Mineral Lipstick in Runway Pink - Love love LOVE this lipstick! I quickly sweeped this across my lips and VOILA! a gorgeous pigmented pink color that is very natural looking.

I was really happy with the way this look all came together. The eyeshadow's just blended and went together so nicely, I couldn't help but love the natural look of it all!

e.l.f. Mineral Eyeshadow Swatches

Hola! I am sure a lot of you know how inexpensive the e.l.f. brand is but are not sure the quality and if it's actually worth the few dollars. Today I am showing you another part of the the e.l.f. haul that I gathered over the past few months! I heard great things about elf's mineral eyeshadows so I decided to test them out for myself.

e.l.f. Mineral Eyeshadow ($3.00) - e.l.f. has come out with an entire line of mineral products featuring lipsticks, blushes, foundation, and eyeshadow. There are over 20 different shades in the eyeshadow line varying from a matte white to a sparkly black. There are so many different shades of different colors and  have really done a good job with variation. The quality of these eyeshadows are actually pretty good! With a coupon code you could pay almost nothing for .03oz of product.

The eyeshadows come in a cute little box with a "similar" shaded stripe to what you will actually be getting.
