Sigma Beauty Haul - Essential Kit and Flat Top Kabuki

Hello ladies! I finally made my first Sigma purchase. I have been dying to try out these brushes since every beauty guru under the sun has them. I figured it would help me follow tutorials better and actually make some Youtube tutorials myself (and have these brushes to refer to so viewers know which brushes I am using for each step.) I am beyond excited about my purchase!  I hope you like the pictures!

elf Flawless Finish Foundation Review and Pictures!

elf Flawless Finish Foundation in Sand ($6.00) - A light to medium dewy finish foundation. I bought this months ago during one of their Studio line sales and only paid $3.00. That being said, I truly believe this is a really good foundation if you are going to spend $3.00 but maybe try for something else if you are spending the full $6.00 (I know $3 isn't a HUGE difference but there are a lot of drugstore foundations in the same price range). The finish on this foundation is nice but it is a bit oily when applied. One other hing that I should mention about this foundation is it also has a strange scent? Not sure how to explain it but it's a lot stronger than a lot of the foundations that I have.  The bottle has a film over the glass that makes it have a smooth finish that I really like. The pump is actually really nice as well! Overall it is a GOOD purchase for your money but not something I would choose over a few other drugstore foundations!

The picture above and below is one pump - It is a good amount and should cover a good portion of your skin.

Where to Buy; Select Target stores, eyeslipsface.com ($6.00)

Sephora Cinderella Palette - Pictures and Swatches

Here Sephora, have ALL OF TEH MONEYZ. I swear I spend way too much at this store. Today I went and grabbed the Cinderella Palette after much contemplation between this or the Vice Palette. This obviously won but you KNOW I will be picking the Vice Palette up some day soon. I am absolutely loving this palette and though I don't want to write a review quite yet, I wanted to share some quick photos. Enjoy!

Sephora "Friends and Family 2012" haul!

So this year Sephora decided to make their annual  "friends and family" sale truly private. They are referring to this sale as the "Employee Appreciation Sale" and only those who work at Sephora receive codes that they may then pass out to friends and family members. I was able to snag a code and purchased a couple things on my wishlist. Sephora has mentioned that they WILL be having a "public" 20% sale for those VIB members. Let us hope they stay true to their word!

Now for the fun stuff! I grabbed two palettes that I have been eyeing. I have noticed that I need more options for my daily eyeshadow and have only been reaching for my Urban Decay Naked palettes. Though they are lovely palettes, that is not okay! Every girl needs variety, right?

Wet n Wild Megalast Lip color Dollhouse Pink

Wet n Wild Megalast Lip Color in Dollhouse Pink 967 ($1.99) - A bright pink. This pink is super vibrant and absolutely beautiful. Wet n Wild definitely know what they were doing when they released this line of lip color. The application is smooth, the pigmentation is incredible, and it's long lasting. The triple whammy for sure!

 Such a beautiful color!

Little Black Bag October 2012

Little Black Bag is a subscription site that allows you to choose one item for $49.95 a month and then will give you up to 3 more items to up the value of your order to $100 or more! Not only can you pick your item and get 2/3 more items added to your bag, but you can then trade with other users for their items! It's definitely a unique experience! I have seen some start off with 3 items and end up with 10. It all depends on how much time and effort you want to put into your bag (or also, just pure luck!)

I have received three bags so far since the end of August. I will be posting those bags later on but decided I would start with my newest bag that I just received in the mail! I am so excited to show you what I picked out!

Every package that I have received so far is so nicely packed! Everything comes new with tags attached. Most items come with dust bags as well!

Sephora Haul: Benefit The Pretty Committee

After purchasing Bad to the Bronze from Benefit a few months ago I have been really interested in purchasing more kits from them. The value is just amazing since most of the products featured in these bags are full size! I went to Sephora and saw this amazing deal, three full sized products including Bella Bamba blush, Stay Don't Stray, and the Eye Bright for $38. Such a steal. Oh and did I forget to mention you also get a decent sized High Beam as well? Overall I am just beyond happy with this purchase!

I'm Back!

Hey Everyone!

It's been SO long and I feel awful and sad that I haven't been here on my blog for such a long time. Lots has gone on including getting a new puppy and moving. I had packed up all of my makeup, cameras, and put away money for the move which lead me to being gone for such a long time. Good news is that I am settled in to my new place and have set up my room and vanity and am good to go! I am so excited to continue working on my blog now and I am really considering making a Youtube Channel because my new room has the best lighting, ever! I always attempted making a channel but the lighting at my old place was terrible (it was a basement apartment) and ugh, just wasn't fun.

Anyways, I have some posts lined up for you guys as well as some missing glam bag videos. I hope that you all will stick around and continue to follow me and my blog. Thanks so much for your support and I again am SO happy to be back!

Milani Baked Blush swatches - Dolce Pink & Berry Amore

Milani Baked Blush in Dolce Pink & Berry Amore ($6.99) - Dolce Pink is a beautiful shimmery pink while Berry Amore is a rosey golden color. I had forgotten about these blushes and found them sitting in my makeup drawer. I decided that I would whip them out and use them. I now remember how pretty these are! That being said, they wouldn't be a go to *everyday* kind of blush for me because they are too shimmery for my taste, but a once in a while *gotta have that sparkle* look would definitely call for these blushes.

Where to Buy: CVS, K-Mart

Wet n Wild Mega Last Matte Lipstick Think Pink 901b Swatches

Wet n Wild Mega Last Matte Lipstick in Think Pink 901b ($1.99) - This is a beautiful light bubblegum pink. I love the color of this lipstick for everyday wear. In my opinion, is a very subtle but pretty color to wear during the spring/summer. This particular color seemed to be a bit more dry than the others but I might have picked one from a bad batch or something. Overall I really enjoy this lipstick.

NARS Angelika vs e.l.f. Fuchsia Fusion Comparison & Swatches

After picking up NARS Angelika at the new Sephora that opened near me and already owning e.l.f.'s Fuschia Fusion, I decided it would be the perfect opportunity to do a comparison post. It's interesting to see what extra money will or will not buy you. For these two blushes, they are very similar in color but have some key differences. Continue reading for some more information about each blush.

NARS Angelika ($28.00) -  A medium cotton candy pink with gold glitter. A beautiful color and the glitter is just right for nighttime wear. I try to avoid wearing sparkly blush during the day because it can be a bit much, but at night it really catches the light nicely and brings a beautiful glow to your face.

e.l.f. Fuchsia Fusion ($3.00) - A light/medium cotton candy pink with gold glitter. This is very similar in color to Angelika, but is a bit lighter. It is a great color but is much more 'powdery' than the more expensive twin. It would be a great dupe if you don't want to shell out the extra money for the NARS blush but you will notice a difference in quality. I prefer the NARS just because I don't like how powdery this blush can be!

Something I Have Been Working On

Hello lovelies! How have you been? I know that I have been pretty great as of recent! Let's hope that continues. I have picked up a new hobby recently and wanted to share a few pictures of what I have been up to. I have always been a huge fan of arts, crafts, and D.I.Y. I have been wanting to get into jewelry making so I decided to head to the store to pick up some supplies. Picking out beads is SO fun and you can create so many different combinations of jewelry with just a small selection of beads. I have been making some bracelets because I really want to open my own Etsy shop! I have been thinking about it for a couple years now and think that I might actually go through with it soon. What do you think? Would you be interested in this type of bracelet? I was thinking about a $5 price tag, but I would love to get opinions before I open the shop!

Influenster VoxBox May 2012

A couple of weeks ago I received my Beauty Voxbox. It was provided to me by Influenster for FREE! Influenster is a fun website where you receive badges for different things. I had received enough beauty badges to be shipped a free beauty box. This box contained seven products total. Let's get into the details!

MyGlam May 2012

May's MyGlam bag was all about love, love, love! There were five products featured including a lipstick, perfume sample, makeup brushes, and nail decals. Overall the bag was okay for me! I didn't like the lipstick color I received and I am not a huge fan of perfume samples, but the brushes and nail decals are nice. The bag was super cute though!

a small update

I just wanted to make a quick post about why I haven't been very active lately! Things have been so crazy and hectic around here and I have been feeling so guilty and sad that I haven't made any blog posts for a couple weeks! The last post I made was made right before a trip to NYC. Before we left, my boyfriend and I were really stressed out about the fact that he was graduating but wasn't offered a job yet. His school loans are pretty high and we NEEDED a job offer to come through. Luckily, he received one! We are so happy to announce that he will be working full time soon and will be making much more than we expected right out of college. His job is around an hour away from our current home, so we will be moving in a couple months. I have been apartment hunting and budgeting, which is another reason why I have been so busy. We are 90% going to end up at an apartment that we ADORE but there are still a lot of papers we need to fill out. Of course he had a graduation scheduled and we had been prepping for his party. We celebrated last weekend and it was a BLAST! There was a lot of cleaning and organizing to be done before so we had just been swamped with lots to do. Fortunately, that has all passed and all that is left a few couple weeks of time off before he starts his job. I am sure as soon as he starts, I will have a lot of free time on my hands and will be able to be back to blog posting regularly. I will be posting about a few beauty subscription boxes I have received in the past few weeks in the upcoming days and I hope you all enjoy them! Thanks so much for being wonderful subscribers and checking out my blog. It means the world to me to see others enjoying my posts. That's all for now!! Toodles :-)

Shopping Haul: Ulta & TJ Maxx

Woohoo, I absolutely LOVE shopping and I had an awesome turn out tonight. I caved in and went to Ulta to buy the Naked 2 palette and grabbed a Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Blissful while I was there. I can't wait to use these products! I am going to do a blog post on each when I have time to work with them a little bit. After I went to Ulta I went to the TJ Maxx (my favorite store!) in the same plaza and found some cute items. I grabbed a few shirts, some tan shorts, and black leggings. I probably own 10 pairs of black leggings now haha! I went over to the shoes not expecting to buy any and I found these super adorable shoes for $10. $10!!!!! I just love TJ Maxx. I didn't spend more than $13 on any one article of clothing, I am such a bargain hunter! Do you guys like shopping at TJ Maxx and Marshalls? If you've never been there then I definitely recommend you stop by your local stores! If you like decorating I suggest you go to Home Goods as well.

Well, that's all for now! Thanks for reading!

NARS blush in Gaiety

Today I have for your my newest NARS blush, Gaiety. It is a soft pink blush but leaves a beautiful color to your cheeks and is buildable.

NARS Blush in Gaiety ($28.00) - Sheer medium cotton candy pink. This is a new color for the NARS blush collection. This blush is very pink in the pan but has the perfect color when transferred onto your skin. When I picked up this blush I thought that it might be too powdery pink for my skin, but it gives such a beautiful color! It is silky smooth and when applied you are able to build the color to what you prefer without it looking cakey. It also is a great pink for people who experience pink blushes making them look red. The packaging is the same as always which I don't prefer since the finish on the packaging collects anything and everything and looks gross after a while. Other than that, I adore NARS and the products they come out with.

Where to buy: Sephora, Narscosmetics.com

My First Birchbox April 2012

After receiving a few Glam Bags I decided that I would like to try out another beauty subscription. I had read so many amazing things about Birchbox so I decided to give it ago, especially after I saw that people received a full sized Tarte Lipsurgence in a previous box.

In my first Birchbox I received five products. The package arrived on April 16th which I received a couple days after I got my glam bag. Overall, I am not too impressed with my first box but I am definitely going to see what the next box provides since it won't be a welcome box. Hopefully I will get some products that will be useful. Now onto what I received!

Drugstore Foundations Swatches and Review

Going through my foundations, I decided to do a quick post about my current drugstore foundations. Foundation is a must in my make-up routine and finding an affordable foundation is definitely important. I have found that drugstore products can sometimes be just as good as high end, especially for foundations.

I have several foundations and like to mix up which ones I use whether it be my skin is not looking its best and I need more coverage or I have a little more color than I usually do. I truly believe that having the perfect base can make you feel better about yourself throughout the day. Continue reading to find out what I think about four different drugstore foundations that are currently in my collection!

Revlon Colorstay Makeup for Oily/Combination skin ($11.99) - Matte finish. This is a HEAVY duty foundation with a matte like finish. This foundation definitely covers my redness and blemishes with ease! To be honest, I don't like to use this often since I really think that it has a heavy feeling to it and it is noticeable that I am wearing foundation. I like to save this for when I know that my skin has no chance of looking flawless for a long time since this foundation is extremely long lasting. It was a favorite of mine until I discovered another foundation (continue reading to find out which one it is ;) ) Overall, I know lots of people who adore this foundation but it isn't the perfect one for me. I will rebuy in a darker color when this one runs out (I finished my last one but I purchased the wrong color this time around, DOH!)

Maybelline Fit Me Foundation ($7.99) - Dewy finish. This is a light foundation with nice coverage. I notice when applying swatches that this foundation is a lot more "runny" than the other foundations and took a much longer time to dry. I have oily skin so this does not last as long as some of my other foundations, but I usually don't wear a light foundation if I am going to be gone for a long time without being able to redo or touch up my makeup. It has nice pigmentation and is easy to blend into the skin.

L'Oreal True Match Super Blendable Makeup ($8.99) - Small hint of shine. This foundation is a fan favorite and a favorite of mine. It blends on so nicely and has great pigmentation. It never feels like I am wearing makeup when I wear this foundation and I never feel like I need to reapply hours after I put it on. If you are looking for a nice, light, easy to apply, awesome coverage foundation then this is the one for you.

Neutrogena Healthy Skin ($11.99) - Dewy finish. My favorite!! I just love the way my skin looks after I apply this foundation. I always feel like I have perfect skin after I apply this foundation. It covers my redness and blemishes but doesn't make my skin look like I am wearing makeup, which I love. With a brush I blend this into my skin and set with a powder and BLAM! perfect skin. Love it!
